Inflection Brands, acquired November 30, 2023. Two Roads Advisors completed the acquisition of Inflection Brands, a leading e-commerce M&A firm, now operating as a subsidiary. "This acquisition complements our focus on providing top-tier advice to businesses at pivotal points in their lifecycles — we are now better equipped to deliver exceptional value to clients," said John Z. Fang, Managing Partner. Funding rounds facilitated include ThriveCart Series A (investor: LTV SaaS Fund, Jan 18, 2023), Hubx, and five more.

John has successfully sourced and closed transactions over multiple decades: cross-border mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, carve-outs, PE-backed secondary sales, private debt and equity financings, distressed debt sales, loan portfolio sales, growth capital, recapitalizations, and joint ventures — for clients ranging from Fortune 50 companies and founder-backed ventures to global publicly traded businesses and private equity portfolio companies. His early career spanned restructuring at Merrill Lynch and Raymond James: recapitalizations, DIP financings, §363 asset sales, and Chapter 11 reorganizations.

A senior banker at Sonenshine Partners, where he and John worked together, he has advised across the consumer & healthcare, technology & media, manufacturing & distribution, and financial services sectors. Earlier, he led business development at TRKC Inc., a Washington, DC start-up that tracked political donations and corporate lobbying — money in politics. He lives in Pound Ridge, NY, with his wife and multiple pets.
